CTX MARTIAL ARTS INTENSIVE EXPERIENCE

Welcome to our dynamic 7-week Summer CTX Martial Arts Intensive Experience! Ideal for both newcomers and seasoned young martial artists, this program intensifies traditional karate training to boost physical and mental growth. Each week, our expert instructors focus on developing a critical physical attribute through engaging activities designed to challenge and improve your child’s skills. Here’s what to expect each week:

WEEK 1 - BALANCE AND AGILITY

This week's focus is on improving balance and agility, which are crucial in martial arts. Students will learn different balance and agility drills, such as obstacle courses, standing on one leg, and hopping. These drills will improve their coordination and help them move with greater speed and accuracy.

WEEK 2 - FLEXIBILITY

 During this week, we will focus on improving flexibility, which is critical for martial arts techniques. Students will learn different stretching exercises, such as static and dynamic stretches, to improve their range of motion and prevent injuries.

WEEK 3 - ENDURANCE

Endurance is key in martial arts, and during this week, students will focus on improving their cardiovascular health and stamina. We will do a variety of exercises, such as jumping jacks, burpees, and jump rope, to increase endurance and stamina.

WEEK 4 - SELF-DEFENSE

Self-defense is an essential aspect of martial arts, and this week, students will learn different self-defense techniques, such as how to escape from grabs and chokes, and how to defend themselves against multiple attackers.

WEEK 5 - STRENGTH

This week's focus is on improving muscular strength, without the use of weights. Students will work on different bodyweight exercises, such as push-ups, squats, lunges, and planks, to increase their strength and power.

WEEK 6 - TECHNIQUE

Technique is crucial in martial arts, and this week, we will focus on perfecting basic techniques, such as punches, kicks, and blocks. Students will also learn more advanced techniques, such as joint locks and takedowns, to improve their overall technique and effectiveness.

WEEK 7 - REVIEW AND APPLICATION

During this final week, we will review all the skills learned throughout the summer camp and apply them in various scenarios. Students will also have the opportunity to showcase their skills in a friendly competition, and we will conclude the camp with a graduation ceremony.
